Soccer Recap: Berthoud Extends Winning Streak to Five + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Berthoud). Everything went their way against the Valley Vikings on Thursday as they made off with a 7-0 win. Given Berthoud's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Valley are ranked 174th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory (which was Berthoud's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matches. As for Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berthoud will face off against Riverdale Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley, they will challenge Elizabeth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
