Basketball Recap: Marion Skates Past Sinton with Ease

Marion entered their tilt with Sinton on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Pirates, posting a 71-15 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 30 points or more this season.

Marion's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Travis Randle, who went 7-for-10 on his way to 17 points and three steals. What's more, Randle also posted a 70% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Another player making a difference was Banji Ajasin, who shot 89% from the field to rack up 17 points and seven boards.

Marion smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Marion's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Sinton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Marion has already played their next game, a 54-17 win against Gonzales on the 5th. As for Sinton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 47-33 victory against Coastal Christian HomeSchool on the 5th.
