Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for St. Clairsville

The St. Clairsville Red Devils were able to grind out a solid victory over the Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights on Saturday, taking the game 5-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

St. Clairsville pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 13-2 record.

Looking ahead, St. Clairsville will venture away from home to face off against Steubenville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheeling Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
