Volleyball Recap: Birchwood Christian Takes a Loss

Birchwood Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Cook Inlet Academy Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in September.

While Birchwood Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-12, 25-12.

Birchwood Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Cook Inlet Academy, their win ended a six-match drought on the road and puts them at 11-13.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Birchwood Christian will square off against rival Lumen Christi at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Cook Inlet Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Ninilchik at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
