League recap: Rensselaer climbs in state rankings

Rensselaer scaled the state rankings by moving to 160 from 213 this week, the biggest jump in Section 2 D - South. The Rams climbed the ranks as a result of beating Greenwich 42-34.

Cambridge added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Salem, 58-24. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.

Cambridge's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ethan English has thrown for 1,005 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Austin Dean has 19 catches for 496 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Cambridge takes on second place Rensselaer. Last week, Cambridge bested the Generals, while Rensselaer defeated the Witches.

Doug Luke's team took down Salem 58-24 last week, the largest margin of any game. Caleb Rowland ran for 225 yards during the win.
