Softball Recap: Hendrickson Wins Going Away Against Rio Grande City

After only two runs in their last match, Hendrickson made sure to put some runs up on the board against Rio Grande City on Thursday. The Hendrickson Hawks were the clear victor by an 11-2 margin over the Rio Grande City Rattlers.

Hendrickson got a massive performance out of Cadence Garcia, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave Garcia a new career-high. Isabella Gonzales was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Hendrickson's record now sits at 2-0. As for Rio Grande City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Hendrickson will take on Churchill in a tournament on Thursday. As for Rio Grande City, they will head out on the road to challenge Boerne at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
