Basketball Recap: Neptune Beats Wall Township for Their Fourth Straight Win

Neptune waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Wall Township Crimson Knights by a score of 56-44. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-47 back in January.

Neptune's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyeera Howard led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Bre Evans, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 17 points and three steals.

Neptune's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points over those games. As for Wall Township, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neptune will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Shore Regional at 5:15 p.m. on February 20th. As for Wall Township, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Middletown North at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
