Basketball Recap: Monday's Win Is Berkley's Fourth in Last Five Outings

While Berkley has struggled on the road with three straight losses, that wasn't the case on Monday thanks to Caleigh Tracey. The Berkley Bears claimed a resounding 69-36 win over the North Farmington Raiders thanks in part to Tracey, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Hailey Kirkwood, who posted eight points in addition to six assists and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Berkley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for North Farmington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.

Berkley will head out to challenge Southfield Arts & Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Southfield Arts & Tech's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches. As for North Farmington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-23 defeat against Adams on the 29th.
