Football Game Preview: St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds vs. Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles

The St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds will take on the Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph Academy will be strutting in after a win while Fort Bend Christian Academy will be coming in after a loss.

St. Joseph Academy took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They put the hurt on St. Anthony with a sharp 24-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bloodhounds in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won nine in a row.

A big part of St. Joseph Academy's victory came down to the chemistry between Gavin Cisneros and his top target Israel Cano. Cisneros threw for 160 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 passes while Cano picked up 90 receiving yards and two touchdowns. What's more, Cisneros racked up 149.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, Fort Bend Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by The Woodlands Christian Academy and fell 48-7. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 802nd, while the Warriors are ranked 115th).

St. Joseph Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Fort Bend Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
