Katahdin won the last time they faced Ashland and things went their way on Friday too. The Katahdin Cougars blew past the Ashland Hornets, posting an 89-17 victory. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 23 points or more this season.

Katahdin pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.8 points per game. As for Ashland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Katahdin will venture away from home to square off against Southern Aroostook at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Aroostook knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Katahdin likes a good challenge. As for Ashland, they will head out to take on Madawaska at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Madawaska will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something Ashland surely won't give up without a fight.
