Softball Game Preview: Ridgeview Ravens vs. Bend Lava Bears

Ridgeview has won 15 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Bend has won 15 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Ravens will welcome the Lava Bears at 4:30 p.m. Ridgeview's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Bend's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Ridgeview proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 17) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Caldera 9-8. The Ravens haven't had any issues with Caldera recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Bend got themselves on the board against Redmond on Friday, but Redmond never followed suit. They blew past the Panthers 14-0. The result was nothing new for the Lava Bears, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Bend has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Ridgeview, their win bumped their record up to 20-0.

Ridgeview was able to grind out a solid victory over Bend in their previous meeting last Wednesday, winning 6-3. Do the Ravens have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lava Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
