Volleyball Recap: Roanoke-Benson Comes Up Short

Roanoke-Benson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Seneca Fighting Irish. If the Rockets were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Fighting Irish when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Roanoke-Benson ultimately came up short, they really made Seneca work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-15.

Roanoke-Benson's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Seneca, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Roanoke-Benson will take on St. Bede in a tournament on Saturday. As for Seneca, they will venture away from home to take on Wilmington at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
