Basketball Game Preview: Old Town Coyotes vs. Mount Desert Island Trojans

The Old Town Coyotes will face off against the Mount Desert Island Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Desert Island took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Old Town, who comes in off a win.

Old Town will head into Saturday's match on the come-up: they were handed a 32-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Hermon out 42-40.

Meanwhile, Mount Desert Island faced Ellsworth in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Mount Desert Island took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ellsworth. The Trojans have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Mount Desert Island's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Old Town, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Old Town beat Mount Desert Island 49-42 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Does Old Town have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mount Desert Island turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
