Basketball Recap: Jefferson Finds Home Court Redemption Against Sand Creek

There's no place like home for Jefferson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-28 victory over the Sand Creek Aggies on Wednesday. The Bears pushed the score to 42-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Aggies cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Sand Creek had strong showings from Carley Allen, who posted seven points and eight rebounds, and Payton Steinke, who went 5-for-12 on her way to 11 points. The dominant performance also gave Steinke a new career-high in field goal percentage (42%).

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Sand Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sand Creek, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 36-32 victory against Britton Deerfield on the 21st.
