Jordan Falls and Satchelle Pettis secure win for Huss

Recap: Huss Huskies vs. North Gaston Wildcats

The Huss Huskies were handed a two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against the North Gaston Wildcats on Friday. Huss put the hurt on North Gaston with a sharp 67-43 win. That 24 points margin sets a new team best for Huss this season.

Leading Huss to victory were Jordan Falls and Satchelle Pettis. Falls scored 11 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds, while Pettis scored 13 points along with six assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Falls has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trimell Dunlap, who scored 11 points along with two steals.

When it comes to explaining why North Gaston lost, one person who can't be blamed is Markell Carothers. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Carothers pulled down eight or more rebounds. Orlando Rivera was another key contributor, scoring six points.

Huss has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. As for North Gaston, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Huss will be playing in front of their home fans against Crest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crest will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak. As for North Gaston, they will head out on the road to square off against Stuart W. Cramer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stuart W. Cramer is on a three-game streak of home losses, North Gaston a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
