Baseball Recap: Grainger Comes Up Short

Grainger came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Gibbs Eagles, falling 13-2. The Grizzlies have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Caden Brabson was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Grainger's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Gibbs, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Grainger will head out to challenge Morristown-Hamblen West at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gibbs, they will take on Fulton at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
