Volleyball Recap: Tough Loss for Dunnellon

Dunnellon had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Leesburg Yellow Jackets.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-13.

Dunnellon's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-1. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-0 Lake Weir (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 93.9% over those games). As for Leesburg, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Dunnellon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against South Marion on the 20th. As for Leesburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Wildwood on the 20th.
