Game recap: Crete-Monee High School Football Team wins against Evanston

CRETE, Ill. - Crete-Monee (Crete, Ill.) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring eight in the fourth quarter to seal a 42-15 victory over Evanston (Ill.).

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Rashard Spraggins in the second quarter, the Warriors were up 27-7 at the half.

Crete-Monee saw its 20-point halftime lead fall to 19 entering the fourth.

The defeat comes as a step back for Evanston, who notched a 39-38 victory over Proviso West in its previous outing.

Crete-Monee (2-0) will play a non-conference game against Simeon next week, while Evanston (1-1) will take on Highland Park also in a non-conference game.
