Basketball Recap: Mandeville Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mandeville had won two straight games and Alanna Benoit did her part to make it three on Friday. The Mandeville Skippers put the hurt on the LaGrange Gators with a sharp 48-22 win thanks in part to Benoit, who almost dropped a triple-double on 19 points, nine boards, and 12 steals. Her afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Mahoney, who posted six points. Those six points gave her a new career-high.

Mandeville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for LaGrange, they moved to 7-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Mandeville will head out to challenge Covington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for LaGrange, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sam Houston at 5:30 p.m.
