Volleyball Game Preview: Sullivan Redskins vs. Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh Titans

The Sullivan Redskins will face off against the Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Sullivan came up short against Shelbyville and fell 2-0.

While Sullivan ultimately came up short, they really made Shelbyville work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-14.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Cerro Gordo/Bement on Tuesday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 22-25, 26-24.

Sullivan has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-14 record this season. As for Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh, they pushed their record up to 10-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
