Hunter-Kinard-Tyler enjoyed a cozy 42-24 victory over the War Eagles on Friday. Given Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the War Eagles are ranked 282nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tilayzia Youmans, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Youmans has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Akeira Blue, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and five steals.
