Volleyball Recap: Airport Takes a Loss

If Airport was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Brookland-Cayce on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Aiken Fighting Green Hornets on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Green Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 25-16.

Airport's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Aiken, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Airport will square off against South Aiken at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aiken, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against River Bluff on the 26th.
