Baseball Recap: Saddleback Takes a Loss

Saddleback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to the Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vaqueros this season, with their most recent loss being a 14-4 defeat on Tuesday.

Saddleback's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Rancho Alamitos, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Coming up, Saddleback will venture away from home to challenge Orange at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Roadrunners' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Rancho Alamitos, they will be playing at home against Bolsa Grande at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vaqueros' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Matadors have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
