Baseball Recap: Cole Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Cole challenged Carrizo Springs on Friday. The Cole Cougars fell just short of the Carrizo Springs Wildcats by a score of 7-6. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alex Flowers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Garrison Barker also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Cole's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Carrizo Springs, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Cole wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Pearsall on the 8th. As for Carrizo Springs, they have also already played their next matchup, a 9-3 win against Dilley on the 7th.
