Softball Recap: Florence Huskies vs. Gunnison Cowboys
Florence lost against Gunnison back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Florence Huskies came up short against the Gunnison Cowboys, falling 12-2. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lilly Roe made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Gunnison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.
Florence will venture away from home to square off against James Irwin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. James Irwin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season. As for Gunnison, they will play host again on Wednesday to welcome Montrose, where first pitch is scheduled at 3:00 p.m.
