New Athens won the last time they faced Dupo and things went their way on Thursday too. The Yellow Jackets walked away with a 2-0 win over the Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellow Jackets.

New Athens easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19.

Lilly Tucker paced New Athens' offense, picking up eight kills. Tucker got some help from Ally Barr and her 14 assists. Tucker also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Raegan Range, racking up three apiece.

New Athens' victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Dupo, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6-1.

Looking ahead, New Athens is taking a road trip to face off against Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dupo, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Valmeyer on the 13th.
