Softball Game Preview: Scott Eagles vs. Grant County Braves

The Scott Eagles will face off against the Grant County Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Monday, Scott came up short against Highlands and fell 4-1. The Eagles have struggled against the Bluebirds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Scott saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addy Riley, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Ashlyn Riley was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Grant County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Great Crossing.

Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Grant County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Scott took their victory against Grant County when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 14-5. Does Scott have another victory up their sleeve, or will Grant County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
