Football Recap: Fairfield Skates Past Burbank with Ease

Fairfield won the last time they faced Burbank and things went their way on Friday too. The Falcons blew past the Titans 53-20. The Falcons not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 4, 2024 (when they won 53-7).

Fairfield had a senior duo take command as Imari Carter rushed for 226 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry and Tristen Smith threw for 204 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. With that strong performance, Carter is now averaging an impressive 102.5 rushing yards per game.

Fairfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 305 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was David Massey II, who picked up 179 receiving yards and a pair of scores. What's more, he's the matchup marked his fifth straight with at least 102. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Allen, who threw for 287 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt.

Fairfield's record now sits at 2-4. As for Burbank, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
