Baseball Preview: Brawley Wildcats vs. Cathedral Phantoms
The Brawley Wildcats will challenge the Cathedral Phantoms at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Brawley fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Palm Desert on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Aztecs by a score of 5-4. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Sergio Garcia put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Garcia was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one RBI.
