Basketball Game Preview: Carlisle County Comets vs. Graves County Eagles

Carlisle County has won seven straight games at home, while Graves County has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Comets will host the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Carlisle County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

On Saturday, Carlisle County got the win against Livingston Central by a conclusive 81-55. The Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

Brennan O'Neill and Wyatt Rickard were among the main playmakers for Carlisle County as the former went 11-for-15 on his way to 22 points in addition to six assists and three steals and the latter shot 67% from the field en route to 22 points and eight boards. Rickard's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Kasen Perez, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Graves County's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of McCracken County. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Mustangs are ranked tenth).

Graves County's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Carlisle County, their win bumped their record up to 21-6.
