Soccer Recap: Santa Cruz Triumphs

Santa Cruz's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Liberty Hawks out 2-1.

Santa Cruz's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4-1. As for Liberty, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Santa Cruz will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on January 14, 2025. As for Liberty, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 9-0 loss against Clovis East on the 23rd.
