Norcross extended the longest winning streak in AAAAAA Region 7 this week by beating Mountain View, 48-6. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
The Bears made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,434 from 5,653. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 48-6 victory over Mountain View last week.
Jacorey Lewis was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 26 carries, he ran for 301 yards as Mill Creek fell to Mill Creek. DeVozea Felton also contributed to the rushing game with 102 yards on the ground.
Michael Haynes put up the best numbers through the air as North Gwinnett defeated Habersham Central. He finished with 18 completions for 197 yards and three touchdowns. Haynes' favorite target this week was Nate Brown, who caught five passes for 50 yards.
Dandridge was the best wideout in the league this week as the Wildcats lost to the Hawks. Dandridge tallied nine receptions for 181 yards. Myles Campbell helped Duluth's passing attack out by catching three balls for 77 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Haynes of the Bulldogs is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1327. He has also thrown 15 touchdowns. On the ground, Mill Creek's Lewis has rushed for 1307 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Dandridge. The Duluth star has 26 catches for 494 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Collins Hill takes on North Gwinnett. As it stands, the Screaming Eagles are in third, while the Bulldogs are in second.
