Braxton County waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 55-43 victory over the Roane County Raiders. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

Braxton County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Steve Boggs out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Boggs is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Ryken Rutherford was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Roane County lost, don't look at Will Odle. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 15 on his way to 16 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Cumpston, who posted nine points.

Braxton County pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Roane County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Braxton County will take on Clay County at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Braxton County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups. As for Roane County, they will square off against Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
