Basketball Game Preview: Segerstrom Jaguars vs. Pioneer Titans

The Segerstrom Jaguars are taking a road trip to take on the Pioneer Titans at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Segerstrom is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Segerstrom is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since January 15, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Ocean View by a score of 67-64.

Pioneer has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 53-42 to Artesia on Friday. The game marked the Titans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Pioneer's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-5. As for Segerstrom, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Segerstrom couldn't quite finish off Pioneer when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 59-56. Can Segerstrom avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
