Volleyball Recap: Columbus Christian's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Columbus Christian lost against Tabernacle Christian back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Crusaders fell 2-0 to the Eagles. The loss put an end to the Crusaders' undefeated start to the season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19.

Katie Bond paced Columbus Christian's offense, picking up six kills. Bond were helped by Abby Dora and Addison Smith, who contributed four assists each. Dora also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emma Rice, racking up two apiece.

Having lost for the first time this season, Columbus Christian fell to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus Christian will challenge Fortune Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. After both having extra time off, Tabernacle Christian and Indiana Christian Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
