Woodland Regional had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the St. Paul Catholic Falcons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

While Woodland Regional won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-23.

Woodland Regional found their leader in freshman Leila Sheetz, who had 15 digs and one assist.

Woodland Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Paul Catholic only served three.

Woodland Regional's victory bumped their record up to 17-5-1. As for St. Paul Catholic, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.

Woodland Regional has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Watertown on the 17th. As for St. Paul Catholic, they will challenge Gilbert-Northwestern Regional at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
