Basketball Game Preview: Blair Bears vs. Concordia Mustangs

The Blair Bears will venture away from home to challenge the Concordia Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Blair is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 24, 2024 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Gretna East 47-19. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Griffins are ranked 15th).

Meanwhile, Concordia ended up a good deal behind Gross Catholic on Tuesday and lost 51-33.

This is the second loss in a row for Blair and nudges their season record down to 11-9. As for Concordia, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-12.

Everything went Blair's way against Concordia in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Blair made off with a 58-33 win. Does Blair have another victory up their sleeve, or will Concordia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
