Basketball Recap: Tristen Cruzen Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mountlake Terrace

On Saturday, the Mercer Island Islanders didn't have too much trouble with the Mountlake Terrace Hawks as they won 54-38.

Mercer Island's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tristen Cruzen, who posted 15 points. Cruzen's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. William McDonald was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Mercer Island has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Mountlake Terrace, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Mercer Island will challenge North Creek at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountlake Terrace, they will square off against Archbishop Murphy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
