Softball Recap: Bruceville-Eddy Comes Up Short

If Bruceville-Eddy was riding high fresh off their 14-6 takedown of Ellison on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruceville-Eddy Eagles came up short against the McNeil Mavericks on Saturday, falling 7-1.

Bruceville-Eddy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylie Rodriquez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Rodriquez also put up a double, which washer first of the season.

Bruceville-Eddy's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for McNeil, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Bruceville-Eddy will take on Pflugerville Connally in a tournament on Saturday. As for McNeil, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crockett at 3:20 p.m. on Thursday.
