Basketball Game Preview: Ogilvie Lions vs. Mora Mustangs

The Ogilvie Lions will take on the Mora Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Ogilvie's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Mora has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Ogilvie is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since January 23, 2024 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Aitkin, sneaking past 79-76.

Meanwhile, Mora came into Tuesday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 48-38 win over Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] on Tuesday.

Mora's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Ogilvie, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Ogilvie against Mora in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured an 80-46 win. Will Ogilvie repeat their success, or does Mora have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
