Strake Jesuit has no trouble against Alief Elsik

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shadow Creek, the Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 73-58 win over Alief Elsik. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Alief Elsik lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Trenton Scott, who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Scott scored 15 or more points. Tim Ofesi was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds and two steals.

Strake Jesuit's victory bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Alief Elsik, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

Strake Jesuit will head out on the road to square off against Alvin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Alvin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 795th, while Strake Jesuit is ranked 379th). As for Alief Elsik, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Pearland at 1:00 p.m. Pearland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
