Softball Recap: Los Alamos Hilltoppers vs. Valencia Jaguars
Los Alamos had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Valencia Jaguars by a score of 20-17. The win continues a trend for the Hilltoppers in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won five in a row.

Los Alamos got a massive performance out of Kohynn Young, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Young a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abagail Deherrera, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.
Valencia's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Los Alamos will square off against Albuquerque Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Valencia, they will challenge Del Norte at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
