After flying high against the Kingsway Christian Eagles on January 4th, Gospel Haven Academy came back down to earth. Gospel Haven Academy fell to Heartland Christian 40-34. Gospel Haven Academy lost against Heartland Christian in their previous head to head back in January of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 43-16 score last time.
Sawyer Koffer was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Landon Clemens was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Gospel Haven Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Heartland Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.
