Pearl River barely beat Nyack the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates put the hurt on the Red Hawks with a sharp 16-2 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Red Hawks: they've now won four in a row.

The win got Pearl River back to even at 2-2. As for Nyack, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pearl River will face off against Ballston Spa at 11:05 a.m. on Saturday.
