Volleyball Game Preview: Austintown-Fitch Falcons vs. Twinsburg Tigers + How To Watch

The Austintown-Fitch Falcons will be taking part in a tournament against the Twinsburg Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

On Tuesday, Austintown-Fitch came up short against Jackson and fell 3-1.

Austintown-Fitch started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Twinsburg waltzed into their match last Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bees.

Twinsburg's win came from a few key players Austintown-Fitch will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kelsey Williams, who had nine digs and three aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 39 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Bryce Matlock, who had five aces.

Twinsburg was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive matchups.

Austintown-Fitch's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Twinsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.
