Independence has gone 8-0-1 against Summit recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will square off against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m.

Independence is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Ravenwood, who was ranked 13th at the time (Independence was ranked 22nd). The Eagles fell just short of the Raptors by a score of 1-0 on Friday. It was the first time this season that Independence let down their fans at home.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Summit was forced to settle for a draw. They and Brentwood finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Friday.

Summit's draw makes their record 6-5-1 this season. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Everything went Independence's way against Summit in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Independence made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
