Softball Recap: Liberty Minutemen vs. Tunstall Trojans
Liberty had lost five straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 4-8 to make it six. They came up short against the Tunstall Trojans, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on April 8th.
As for Tunstall, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games.
For Tunstall's part, Kinslee Cassell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave Cassell a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run and five RBI.
