Recap: Valley View Tigers vs. McAllen Bulldogs
The Valley View Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 126-39 defeat at the hands of McAllen. Valley View has not had much luck with McAllen recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
McAllen got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Benavidez out in front who scored nine points along with four steals. Benavidez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Jackson Ramirez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six assists and two steals.
Valley View has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 14 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-24 record this season. As for McAllen, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.
Valley View will be playing at home against Sharyland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sharyland is coming into the match with seven straight losses on the road, meaning Valley View will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for McAllen, they will square off against Rowe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully McAllen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday.
