Softball Recap: Norristown Starts Season with Victory Against Upper Darby

Norristown had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Upper Darby Royals 9-8. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Upper Darby is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Norristown will host Wissahickon at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Upper Darby, they will venture away from home to face off against Harriton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
