Baseball Recap: Letchworth Takes a Loss

Letchworth extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping them down to 1-7. They came up short against the Keshequa Indians, falling 15-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Legends of the 9-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Letchworth saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Roche, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

As for Keshequa, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games.

On Keshequa's side, Aiden Upright was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Upright has posted since back in May of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Keshequa: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise.

In other batting news, Keshequa got a massive performance out of Ryan Fox, who went 1-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Fox has posted since back in April of 2025. Chris Ebersole was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Letchworth will square off against Le Roy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Keshequa, they will head out to challenge Caledonia-Mumford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
